Concerto Competition Winner:
Sarah Sew - Violin
The Final of the CEE's Concerto Competition 2008 took place on Sunday 12th October 2008 in the Recital Hall of Birmingham Conservatoire
The judges were greatly impressed by the performances of all four finalists. Russell Harrold played Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2, guitarist Liz Larner played Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez, and Naomi McLean performed Haydn's Cello Concerto in C Major.
The winner, though, was Sarah Sew with her performance of Elgar's Violin Concerto. She will perform the concerto again in concert with the CEE during our 2009 season.
Congratulations to Sarah, and we look forward to performing with her again. For more information about her career and current work, visit her website here.
